Thanks to the hearing aids she was fitted with back in 2016, she has learned to speak and is able to attend a local public school. She hopes to continue her education and dreams of becoming a doctor.

28. January 2022We recently received an update from seven-year-old Ralph from Lebanon, whose profound hearing loss was diagnosed when he was just four months old. As it continued to worsen, the only way to improve his hearing was through a Cochlear implant, and the necessary surgery was performed in 2020.

Until three years ago, there was no newborn screening program in our hospital, and we are still feeling the consequences of that today.
